KIDS BY THE SEA is a series of oil paintings of contemporary children, inspired by the beach paintings of the 19th century Spanish painter Joaquin Sorolla.
My goal was to capture the light and color of the sea, the waves, and sand; and to depict the play of light on the skin and clothing of the children.
These works are painted on gallery wrapped canvas. The painting goes right around the edges for a contemporary look.
The price for each painting is $330 unframed, or $455 in a shadowbox frame.
